Nissan India Exports Cross 1.1 Million Units – Magnite Drives Global Demand (Press Release) | V3Cars

Nissan India achieved a significant milestone by exporting over 1.1 million vehicles since starting operations. This accomplishment reflects the success of their “Make in India, Make for the World” strategy.

Nissan India Export Milestone

The 1.1 millionth export was a Nissan Magnite, highlighting the popularity of this SUV in international markets. Nissan's total June 2024 wholesale figures reached 10,284 units, with exports accounting for 8,177 units (YoY growth of 149%) and domestic sales at 2,107 units (YoY growth of 76.3%).

Nissan Motor India today announced crossing an export milestone of 1.1 million units since the start of its export operations. This is a crucial accomplishment for the company and a true reflection of Nissan’s ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ philosophy.

The company has reached this remarkable feat of crossing 1.1 million units on 29 June 2024 at the Ennore Kamarajar Port, Tamil Nadu with the Nissan Magnite being the milestone unit exported.

Additionally, for the month of June 2024, the company has announced cumulative wholesale of 10,284 units, with Year-on-Year (YoY) growth of 76.3% and Month-on-Month (MoM) growth of 65.7%.

Export wholesale accounted for 8177 units in June 2024, with YoY growth of 149% and MoM growth of 104% & domestic wholesale accounted for 2107 units in June 2024.

Nissan Motor India has been on an upward trajectory with the Nissan Magnite, which continues to captivate consumers across the country and abroad. Since its launch in December 2020, the Magnite has garnered immense popularity, with over 1,40,000 units sold in the Indian market domestically and abroad. The Magnite, blending design excellence from Japan with efficient production in India, embodies Nissan Motor India’s & Make-In-India, Make for the World’ manufacturing philosophy.

As part of its growth strategy, Nissan Motor India has been expanding its network footprint across the country. With recent additions in Srinagar, Salem, Delhi and Durgapur, Nissan now boasts a network of 272 touchpoints, providing quality sales and service experiences to customers nationwide. Nissan will continue to expand its network footprint in the coming fiscal year and go closer to where its customers are coming from across India.

The Big, Bold and Beautiful Nissan Magnite is exported to 15 global markets, with recent launches in Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. In recent years, Nissan Motor India has focused on exports to Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
