Hyundai-Supported Para-Athletes Shine At World Para Athletics Grand Prix; Bag 11 Medals (Press Release) | V3Cars
Hyundai India, through their ‘Samarth by Hyundai’ initiative, are celebrating the outstanding achievements of Indian para-athletes at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025. The Indian contingent delivered a remarkable performance, securing a total of 134 medals (45 Gold, 40 Silver, and 49 Bronze).

Among the medal winners were seven para-athletes supported by the ‘Samarth Para Sports Programme’ – a collaborative effort between Hyundai Motor India Foundation and GoSports Foundation. These talented athletes contributed significantly to India's success, winning a total of 11 medals, including 2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 7 Bronze.
The ‘Samarth Para-Sports Programme’ aims to provide a comprehensive platform for aspiring para-athletes, offering financial aid, expert sports science guidance, access to assistive devices, soft skill development, and mentorship from renowned coaches. This initiative not only nurtures talent but also elevates India's standing in global para-sports, inspiring future generations to pursue excellence.

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), under its corporate initiative ‘Samarth by Hyundai’, proudly celebrates the outstanding performance of Indian para-athletes at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025. Competing against the best athletes from across the globe, the Indian contingent showcased exceptional talent and determination, and won a total of 134 medals, including 45 gold, 40 silver, and 49 bronze. Out of the 134 medals, 11 medals (2 Gold, 2 Silver and 7 Bronze) were won by athletes supported by Samarth Para Sports Programme by Hyundai Motor India Foundation & GoSports Foundation. Their remarkable achievements elevate the pride and joy of this milestone to newer heights.
The highlight of the tournament was the remarkable performance of Abhishek Jadhav, part of Samarth Para Athlete Programme, who set a new Asian record in the Men’s 400m T35 category, clocking an impressive 1:04 minutes. His extraordinary feat stands as a testament to the resilience and potential of Indian para-athletes on the world stage.
