Volkswagen ID. EVERY1 Concept Revealed – India Bound? | V3Cars
Volkswagen have unveiled the ID. EVERY1 concept, previewing its upcoming entry-level electric vehicle (EV) slated for a 2027 launch. This compact EV, built on the MEB Entry platform, aims to democratize electric mobility with a targeted price of around €20,000 (approximately ₹19 lakh).

VW ID. EVERY 1 – Affordable Electric Mobility For Everyone
The ID. EVERY1 is positioned as the most affordable EV in Volkswagen’s global lineup, fulfilling the brand’s mission to provide accessible mobility, reminiscent of the iconic Beetle. Volkswagen plans to launch 9 new electric models by 2027, including the ID. 2all in 2026, solidifying its commitment to EV expansion.
VW ID. EVERY1 – Design And Features
The concept features a distinctive design, departing from Volkswagen’s current EV styling. It sports conventional rectangular headlights, a blacked-out grille area, and a boxy silhouette with a tall glasshouse. The rear features unique taillights connected by a black panel.
Inside, the ID. EVERY1 boasts a minimalist interior with a large freestanding touchscreen and a digital driver’s display. It offers a 303-litre boot space with rear seats up and accommodates 4 passengers.
VW ID. EVERY1 – Performance And Technology
The ID. EVERY1 is powered by a 70kW (94P) electric motor, achieving a top speed of 130kmph. It offers a claimed range of up to 250km.
A key highlight is the new, powerful software architecture, enabling lifelong updates and upgrades. Volkswagen emphasises a “Customer Defined Vehicles” approach, allowing for personalised features throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle.
The ID. EVERY1, along with the ID. 2all and ID. GTI Concept are built on the new MEB Entry platform with front-wheel drive. This platform optimises space and efficiency, crucial for compact EVs.
Will The VW ID. EVERY1 Come To India?
Unlikely. However, while the ID. EVERY1 is designed for the European market, its concept could inspire a localised version for India. A localized MEB Entry platform, similar to the MQB-A0-IN platform, could offer an affordable EV option for the Indian market. Reports suggest that VW India could use their affordable CMP 21 platform, which was initially deigned for the Chinese market. We expect Volkswagen to start their EV foray in India with the ID.4, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, and follow it up with a compact and mid-size electric SUVs to take on the likes of the MG Windsor, Tata Curvv, Hyundai Creta Electric, ad Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, among others.
