Audi A6 Sedan, A7 Sportback Design Updates

The most perceptible change on the A6 sedan and A7 Sportback is the addition of a new singleframe radiator grille with a honeycomb mesh pattern. The current A6 sedan sold in the Indian market features horizontal chrome slats. If you spec the S Line model, the radiator grille gains a chrome surround whereas the bumper gets repositioned air intakes. Other features of the updated A6 and A7 S Line include 19-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension and a redesigned rear diffuser.

Audi A6 Sedan, A7 Sportback Interior Details

On the inside, the S Line versions of the A6 and A7 offer an all-black interior theme that covers the dashboard, seat upholstery and roof liner. Furthermore, both models also offer other details like a sport leather steering wheel, stainless steel pedals and illuminated S Line scuff plates for front and rear door sills. Both models now also offer features like the 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit, LED headlights and Park Assist Plus as standard features across all trim levels.

Audi A6 Sedan, A7 Sportback Powertrain Details

Audi haven’t updated the powertrains with this mild update. Both models continue to offer a range of petrol, diesel and plug-in-hybrid powertrain options. Audi India, on the other hand, only offer the A6 sedan, that too with a sole 2.0L turbo petrol engine. The same petrol engine also powers other models like the A4, Q3 and Q5. Speaking of figures, the 2.0L turbo petrol engine of the A6 produces 265PS of power and 370Nm of torque and channels the power to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Updated Audi A6 Sedan India Launch Details

While we do not expect Audi to launch the A7 Sportback in the country, the launch of the updated A6 sedan could take place towards the end of 2023. Audi launched the current-gen A6 back in 2019 and since then, the luxury sedan hasn’t received any update. The A6 goes up against the likes of other premium sedans like the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Volvo S90.
