Upcoming Cars, SUVs Launching In October 2023
Take a look at the list of cars and SUVs launching in September 2023:
1. Citroen C3 Aircross – Confidence: High
Citroen India announced the base starting price of the C3 Aircross 3-row C-segment SUV in September and opened bookings shortly after. The C3 Aircross’ base You variant is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the only C-segment SUV with a starting price of under Rs. 10 lakh. While the carmaker is yet to reveal the full price list of the C3 Aircross, dealers have given an indication of the prices Citroen are likely to charge for the mid-spec Plus (Rs. 11.30 lakh - 11.45 lakh) and top-spec Max (Rs. 11.95 lakh - Rs. 12.10 lakh) variants.
Buyers opting for the 7-seat variant can expect to pay Rs. 35,000 over the prices mentioned above. Meanwhile, the dual-tone paint option, which is only offered in the Plus and Max variants, is likely to cost an additional Rs. 20,000. Citroen are expected to announce the full price list of the C3 Aircross soon and we expect deliveries to start by October 15. 2. Tata Harrier Facelift – Confidence: Medium
In the last week of September, we had reported that some Tata dealers had started accepting unofficial bookings for the Harrier facelift. Earlier this year, Tata Motors’ chairman N Chandrasekaran shared that the company will launch the updated Harrier SUV towards the end of 2023. Finally, Tata Motors teased the Harrier facelift on their social media channels on October 3. All these developments lead us to believe Tata could launch the Harrier facelift in October 2023, just ahead of Navaratri, as car buyers consider it an auspicious time to purchase a new car.
The Harrier facelift was spotted on test multiple times featuring prominent design changes and you can read more about it by tapping the link below. Apart from the refreshed design, we also expect the Harrier facelift to debut Tata’s new 1.5L turbo petrol engine that was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo.

3. Tata Safari Facelift – Confidence: Medium
Just like the Harrier facelift, Tata were spotted testing the Safari facelift multiple times over the last few months. And on October 3, Tata Motors teased the Safari facelift on their social media channels. We expect the Safari facelift to not only receive styling changes but a few feature additions as well. Rumours suggest that the updated SUV could offer 19-inch alloy wheels with a 5-spoke design instead of the current 18-inch wheels. If the rumour holds any truth, the Safari will be the first SUV in its class to offer 19-inch alloy wheels, which should improve its road presence significantly.
Previous spy shots also gave us a sneak peek into the updated cabin of Safari facelift. New design elements include a smaller gear lever, which is somewhat similar to Jaguar and Land Rover cars. The Safari facelift continues to feature the rotary knob for the ESP-based terrain modes. Other details include an electronic parking brake and twin cup holders.
Furthermore, the images also revealed a new control panel for the air-con controls. However, the details aren’t clearly visible owing to reflections. We expect the Safari facelift to offer capacitive buttons for the air-con controls like first seen on the Tata Curvv concept. The same controls are also likely to make their way to the Harrier facelift as well. Apart from that, the new Safari and Harrier facelift will also feature a full-digital instrument cluster and a new 4-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Tata logo.

4. Magnite Kuro Edition & AMT Variants – Confidence: High
Nissan teased the Magnite Kuro Edition in mid-September and announced they would launch AMT variants of the Magnite as well ahead of the festive season. Soon after Nissan India shared the teaser image of the Magnite Kuro Edition, they opened bookings for the special edition B2-segment SUV. Nissan dealers across India are now accepting bookings for the Kuro Edition for a token amount of Rs. 11,000.
We expect the brand to reveal the full price list of the Magnite Kuro Edition this month. The Magnite Kuro Edition is likely to join the Magnite Geza Edition in Nissan India’s product portfolio. Like the Geza Edition, we expect the Kuro Edition to offer a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay over the standard Magnite’s 8.0-inch unit. While the standard Magnite offers an all-black interior and the Geza Edition features a beige treatment, the Kuro Edition could offer an all-black cabin with a few coloured highlights.

Like the Seltos X Line, Kia offer the newly-launched Carens X Line variant with a Matte Graphite colour option. 6. Lexus LM – Confidence: High
Lexus opened bookings for the LM luxury MPV in late August. The new Lexus LM, which is based on the Toyota Vellfire, made its global debut in April 2023. On the inside, the second-gen LM dials up luxury to a new level. The highlight of the interior is the large 48-inch ultrawide display for the rear passengers. The display sits on the partition between the first- and second-row and can be controlled via a central control display. However, the display is limited to the 4-seater LM only. For those seeking to transport more passengers, Lexus are also offering a 7-seater version of the new LM.
