Here’s a list of all upcoming cars in October 2024. Our list includes the likes of the 2024 Nissan Magnite facelift, Kia Carnival MPV and EV9 electric SUV, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the BYD eMax 7.

Upcoming Cars In October 2024

1. Kia Carnival – October 3

The all-new Kia Carnival is set to make its grand return to India, boasting even more space and luxury than its predecessor, which was discontinued last June. Kia will offer the Carnival in two variants – Limousine and Limousine Plus – with a 7-seater configuration (2+2+3) at launch. The second row will feature plush captain's seats, while the third row will provide comfortable bench seating.

Under the bonnet, the 2024 Carnival will feature a 2.2L diesel engine that produces 190PS of power and 441Nm of torque paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels.

Kia will initially offer the 2024 Kia Carnival as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). We expect the new Carnival to carry a starting price of Rs 45 lakh while the top variant could cost Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom). Check out the variant-wise features of the 2024 Kia Carnival by clicking the link below:

2. Kia EV9 – October 3

Alongside the Carnival, Kia will also launch the EV9 electric SUV. The EV9 will take over the mantle of being Kia’s flagship EV in India from the EV6 electric crossover SUV. Kia’s premium electric SUV will boast a powerful 99.8kWh battery pack, offering an impressive ARAI-certified range of 561 kilometres per charge. Equipped with dual motors (one on each axle), the EV9 offers all-wheel drive capability, delivering a combined output of 384PS of power and 700Nm of torque.

The EV9 will initially be offered in a 6-seater configuration, featuring luxurious captain's chairs in the second row. These seats will be equipped with advanced features such as electric adjustments, massage functions, and adjustable leg support. Given its premium positioning and extensive features, the EV9 is expected to be priced around Rs. 70 - 80 lakh (ex-showroom). This puts it in direct competition with other luxury electric SUVs like the Mercedes EQE SUV, BMW iX, and Audi Q8 e-tron.

3. Nissan Magnite Facelift – October 4

Launched in October 2020, the Nissan Magnite sub-compact SUV is all set to get a makeover soon. While Nissan are yet to reveal the Magnite facelift in full, they have teased the B2 SUV’s new dual-tone alloy wheels, revised grille and LED tail lamps, and new tan and black interior theme and upholstery. We also expect the Nissan Magnite facelift to offer a larger touchscreen and digital driver’s display over the current model. Buyers can also expect features like 6 standard airbags, a single-pane sunroof, wireless charger and other modern features.

Nissan India have opened pre-bookings for the 2024 Magnite facelift. Find out the bookings amount, delivery details, and the booking process by clicking the link below. We expect Nissan India to price the 2024 Magnite from Rs. 6.0 lakh to Rs. 11.5 lakh (ex-showroom)

Electric car manufacturer BYD are set to introduce the e6 facelift with a new name in India on October 8. Called the BYD eMax 7, this electric MPV boasts a refreshed exterior with new headlamps, tail lamps, and bumpers featuring additional chrome accents. While the interior retains its overall design, it receives a significant upgrade with a larger 12.8-inch floating touchscreen, instead of the 10.1-inch unit found in the e6.

The eMax 7 offers both 6- and 7-seater configurations, accommodating up to 3 rows of passengers. Additional features include a panoramic sunroof and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite. Internationally, the eMax 7 is available with 2 battery pack options: a 55.4kWh unit claiming a range of 420km and a 71.8kWh unit offering a range of 530km. BYD are yet to reveal the India-specific battery option for the eMax 7. We expect the updated electric MPV to cost around Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom).

5. Mercedes-Benz E-Class - October 9

Mercedes-Benz India are set to launch the 6th generation E-Class on October 9. The new E-Class for India is expected to get the long wheelbase option as standard to take on the recently-launched BMW 5 Series LWB. The new E-Class is expected to offer a ton of tech features including Mercedes’ Superscreen which combines 3 displays on the dashboard under a single glass panel.

While Mercedes-Benz India are yet to reveal the powertrain options for the new E-Class, we expect the luxury sedan to get 2 engine options – a 2.0L turbo petrol with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a 2.0L diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine produces 197PS of power and 320Nm of torque while the diesel engine puts out 194PS and 400Nm.
