Toyota Innova Hycross Officially Teased On India Website — Debut On November 25 | V3Cars

The new teaser of the India-bound Innova Hycross gives us a sneak peek of the Innova Hycross’ front design. Furthermore, the teaser also mentions ‘My new HY of SUV Styling’ which confirms 2 things, firstly, the Innova Hycross will offer a strong hybrid powertrain and secondly, it will offer SUV design cues all around.

We expect the new Innova Hycross to offer a bold front end with a honeycomb front grille and slim LED headlights. The lower part of the bumper could incorporate LED DRLs, turn indicators and air ducts. As Toyota hinted at SUV styling, the Innova Hycross could also offer side body cladding and faux skid plates on the front and rear bumpers.

The new teaser image of the new Innova Hycross recently confirmed a long panoramic sunroof that could stretch over the 3rd-row seats. It also gave a glimpse of other features of the Innova Hycross, including height-adjustable front seatbelts, roof-mounted AC vents, grab handles with coat hooks and roof ambient lighting. The teaser image also revealed a device mounted on the front windscreen, which could, in all likelihood, be a dash camera. However, it remains to be seen if this feature is offered in the India-spec Innova Hycross

In terms of powertrain, the new Innova Hycross could use a petrol-hybrid setup. We do not expect Toyota to offer the Innova Hycross with any diesel engines. While details about the hybrid powertrain of the Innova Hycross are scarce, it could use a 2.0L hybrid powertrain and offer more power and torque than the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. For cost-conscious buyers, Toyota could also offer a base petrol engine without the hybrid powertrain at a considerably lower price. The hybrid variants are likely to be offered with an e-CVT transmission while the base petrol-only variant could feature a manual transmission.

Toyota are all set to reveal the Innova Hycross in India on November 25. whereas its launch will take place in early 2023. The Toyota Innova Hycross will sit above the Innova Crysta and rival the Kia Carnival. The new Innova Hycross’ price could range from Rs. 18.99 lakh to Rs. 27.99 lakh ex-showroom.
