Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Achieves 1 Lakh Sales Milestone | V3Cars

Toyota have announced their C-segment SUV, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, has achieved the 1 lakh unit sales milestone in India. Launched in September 2022, the Hyryder crossed the sales milestone within 2 years of its launch. The Hyryder, which was born out of the Suzuki-Toyota alliance, is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The Toyota SUV is available with mild-hybrid petrol, CNG, and petrol-hybrid powertrains with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions.

Toyota Hyryder At A Glance

The Toyota Hyryder, which is currently priced from Rs. 11.14 lakh to Rs. 20.19 lakh, competes against other C-segment SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, Citroen Aircross and its Maruti cousin, the Grand Vitara.

Toyota offer the Hyryder with a 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol, CNG bi-fuel, and strong-hybrid petrol engine options. The Hyryder powered by the mild-hybrid petrol engine is even available with all-wheel-drive.

The 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol engine produces 103PS of power and 137Nm of torque. It is offered with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The 1.5L CNG bi-fuel engine that powers the Hyryder CNG produces 88PS of power and 122Nm of torque and is only available with the 5-speed manual. The 1.5L strong-hybrid petrol engine produces 116PS of power, 141Nm of torque, and delivers an impressive mileage of 27.97kmpl. This engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission only.

In terms of features, Toyota offer the Hyryder with a 9-inch infotainment system, 7-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seats, and a wireless charger. The Hyryder packs safety features such as 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, ABS, ESP, EBD, all 4 disc brakes, 360-degree surround view camera, and hill-hold control.

The Special Limited Edition of the 2024 Urban Crusier Hyryder goes beyond mere aesthetics. It provides customers with the opportunity to personalise their Hyryder with exclusive Toyota Genuine Accessory (TGA) packages. The package combines stylish upgrades with enhanced functionality, allowing customers to own a truly special version of their Hyryder.

The 2024 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Special Limited Edition with the mild hybrid petrol engine is available in 3 variants – S, G and V. The Hyryder Special Limited Edition with the petrol hybrid powertrain is available in 2 variants – G and V. They offer 13 TGA accessories worth Rs. 50,817:
