Tata Punch EV Spotted On Test – Borrows Design Cues From New Nexon | V3Cars

The upcoming Tata Punch EV was spotted on test recently. Although the Punch EV test car was wearing camouflage, we were able to make out a few changes over the Punch ICE. The most prominent change on the Punch EV over the Punch ICE is a refreshed front end, which takes inspiration from the new Nexon 2023. Let’s take a closer look at what the latest Tata Punch EV spy shots reveal.

Tata Punch EV Likely To Get Refreshed Design

Like Tata’s popular B2-segment SUV, the Punch EV is expected to receive updated LED DRLs that also double up as sequential turn indicators. The headlamps continue to be mounted lower down on the bumper, but the spy shots suggest that the Punch could ditch its Harrier-inspired headlamps for smaller and more angular looking LED headlamps like seen in the new Nexon 2023. We expect the fog laps to be repositioned from the edges of the lower bumper to underneath the new LED headlamps. Other minor changes on the front end include reprofiled air dams.

Like the new Nexon, the Tata Punch EV is unlikely to receive major changes to its side profile, save for a new set of alloy wheels. The rear design, too, is likely to remain largely unchanged.

Tata Punch EV To Get 10.25-Inch Touchscreen

While the latest spy shots don’t reveal the cabin of the Punch EV completely, it showcases the new touchscreen infotainment system. The production-spec Punch EV is likely to offer the Tata Nexon’s 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. We can expect a host of connected car features too. Other new additions could include Tata’s new 2-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated logo, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM), and a full-digital instrument cluster. We expect all of these changes to make their way into the Punch ICE facelift as well.

Tata Punch EV Expected Price And Rivals

Based on our calculations, we expect the Punch EV to cost between Rs. 11.50 lakh and Rs. 14.0 lakh. We arrived at this estimate by looking at the price difference between Tata’s ICE cars, such as the Tiago, Tigor and Nexon, with their ICE-powered counterparts. A price range of Rs. 11.50 lakh to Rs. 14.0 lakh will put it squarely in competition with the Citroen eC3.

With our price estimates, the Punch EV will plug the gap between the Tigor EV and the new Nexon.ev in Tata’s electric vehicle portfolio. Meanwhile, an SUV body style should make it quite popular too. To know more about our Tata Punch expected price estimation, tap the link below
