Skoda Slavia 1.5 Likely To Get Few Cosmetic Tweaks For Better Differentiation | V3Cars

Skoda India have launched the Slavia range in the Indian market and we drove both the Slavia 1.0L and 1.5L at the media drive. We also had a brief chat with Mr. Zac Hollis, director of Skoda. During our chat, Mr. Hollis revealed that Skoda may consider giving the Slavia 1.5L a few cosmetic tweaks to set it apart from the Slavia 1.0L.

Currently, there’s no visible differentiation between the Slavia 1.0L and the 1.5L, unless you either open the bonnet or bend down to find the twin exhausts on the 1.5L model. Mr. Hollis revealed that the brand has taken feedback from journalists and prospective buyers and is considering a few design enhancements for the Slavia 1.5L in the near future.

Upon being asked why there is no visual differentiation between the Slavia 1.0L and 1.5L, Mr. Hollis replied, “There are two ways to look at that. Firstly, it’s a good idea. Secondly, it’s like a wolf in sheep’s clothing. So yeah, I can look at that both ways. But I have read that feedback and we will look at it and I think it's good feedback we take from journalists and it has been fairly unanimous from all the journalists.”

We can expect some visual enhancements in form of dual-tone paint, different alloy design, sportier bumpers, black interiors, and even protruding dual exhaust tips. However, as there are no concrete plans as of now, it’s rather early to speculate. Before updating the Slavia, we expect Skoda India to launch the Kushaq Monte Carlo.
