September 2022 Cars Sales Analysis - Overall Snapshot With YoY, MoM Change | V3Cars

In this September 2022 detailed car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures for each car and the YoY, MoM change each car witnessed in the same month.

We’ll also include last 6 month sales to give you an idea about the 6-month trend of each car on sale in India and share our observations.

Disregarding the numbers of the Kona Electric, Maruti Ignis the clear winner in terms of YoY gains for the month of September, with over 1,000%
Maruti Brezza was the second top gainer with over 700% YoY gains
Mahindra Bolero, XUV700, Maruti’s Dzire and Swift hover around 350% gains in terms of YoY comparison for September
Hyundai and Mahindra are the only car makers whose all models saw a positive YoY gains
Jeep Compass and Citroen C5 Aircross saw a YoY decline of about 50% in September YoY comparison
Amongst the higher volume cars, Toyota Urban Cruiser saw the biggest decline of over 50% in dispatches in September YoY, followed by Kwid with 26% decline, and 18% decline for Ertiga and XL6 each
In the last 6-9 months, we’ve witnessed a lot of action in the Indian auto industry with a bunch of new car launches, generation updates and mid-life refreshes.
