Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Launched At Rs. 2.57 Crore | V3Cars

Porsche India have launched the top-of-the-line Cayenne Turbo GT at Rs. 2.57 Crore ex-showroom. The launch of the Turbo GT completes the Cayenne range in India, which now consists of the regular Cayenne, Cayenne Coupe, E-hybrid, E-hybrid Coupe, GTS, GTS Coupe, Turbo and Turbo Coupe.

Porsche revealed the Cayenne Turbo GT in the international markets last year. The Cayenne Turbo GT takes all the qualities of the Turbo model and dials up to eleven, in an effort to offer exhilarating performance and handling. The Cayenne Turbo GT rides 17mm lower than the Turbo and gets a re-engineered chassis to offer better dynamics.

Powering the Cayenne Turbo GT is a 4.0L twin-turbo petrol V8. It produces 640PS of power that is 90PS more and 850Nm of torque that is 80Nm more than the Cayenne Turbo. All that power and torque results in a 0-100kmph time of 3.3 seconds that is 0.6 seconds lesser than Turbo Coupe. Find a long straight and the Cayenne Turbo GT can hit 300km on the speedometer.

On the design front, the Cayenne Turbo GT comes with new front apron with a lip spoiler, bigger side cooling intakes, carbon fibre roof, blacked-out wheel arch extensions and 22-inch alloy wheels. The Cayenne Turbo GT also gets a new rear spoiler, which increases the downforce by 40 kilograms, at the GT’s top speed.

Porsche India also recorded a 118% sales increase in the first half of 2022 compared to last year. Porsche India sold 378 cars in the country with the Cayenne and Macan SUVs leading the charts with over 77% share in total sales. The German marque sold 167 Cayenne SUVs, 125 Macan SUVs, 37 Taycan electric sedans, 27 911 sports cars and 19 Panamera sedans.
