Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Le Mans Centenary Edition Design & Features
The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Le Mans Centenary Edition pays tribute to the German carmaker’s past models by borrowing styling cues from the 356 SL and 911 GT1. It celebrates 100 years of endurance racing at Le Mans after the innaugral event was held between May 26-27, 1923.
The 911 Carrera GTS Le Mans Centenary Edition features several retro styling cues such as the exclusive Le Mans silver paint and ‘46’ roundel on the doors. The exclusive paint and the numbering on the door are a homage to the the 356 SL, which featured the same back in 1951.
Meanwhile, the gold wheels and the red seatbelts are a nod to the 911 GT1, which won the 1998 Le Mans race. On the inside, the 911 Carrera GTS Le Mans Centenary Edition gets a graphite blue finish for the seats and dashboard with chalk accents on the steering wheel. It also gets a debossed Le Mans track layout on the central armrest with ‘1923-2023’ lettering. There’s even a plaque on the passenger side of the dashboard to let passengers know they are seated in a special car.
