MG Windsor EV Bookings Open – Deliveries To Begin On October 12 | V3Cars

JSW MG Motor India unveiled the 2024 Windsor EV on September 11 and revealed its ex-showroom price with and without the battery rental program soon after. Now, MG have opened bookings for the 2024 Windsor EV for a token amount of Rs. 11,000. Deliveries of the 2024 Windsor EV will commence on October 12.

The new MG Windsor is available in 3 variants and all of them are available with MG’s BaaS (battery as a service) program. Customers also have the option to purchase the Windsor EV outright for a premium of Rs. 3.50 lakh. Check out the variant-wise prices of the Windsor EV below:

MG Windsor EV Battery And Electric Motor Specs

The MG Windsor EV 2024 is only available with a 38kWh battery pack. MG claim the Windsor EV offers a range of 331km per charge.

All variants of the Windsor EV come with a 3.3kW portable charging cable. As standard, the Excite and Exclusive variants come with a 3.3kW AC home charging box while the top Essence variant comes with a 7.4kW AC fast charger. Buyers of the Excite and Exclusive variants can get the faster charging box at an additional cost.

MG Windsor EV Variants And Features

MG call the Windsor EV a CUV, or a crossover utility vehicle. The new Windsor EV features a clean and minimalist design with features such as connected LED DRLs and tail lights. The headlamps are located lower down the front bumper and feature LED illumination as well. The charging port is located in the front left fender of the Windsor EV. Exterior design highlights include:

  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Flush door handle
  • Roof rails
  • Integrated roof spoiler
  • Chrome accents

On the inside, the new Windsor EV features an all-black cabin with gold accents. The dashboard gets wooden trim and a segment-leading 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Feature highlights of the Windsor EV’s cabin include:

  • Rear reclining seats (up to 135-degree)
  • Ventilated front seats

The MG Windsor EV does not offer ADAS. In terms of positioning, the MG Windsor EV sits between the Coment EV and ZS EV and rivals other electric cars such as the Tata Nexon EV and Curvv EV, and the Mahindra XUV400.
