Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV Exterior Details

Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, as the name suggests, is the all-electric derivative of the GLE SUV. It looks similar to the EQS SUV thanks to its flowing body design. However, a few elements like the design of the headlights and tail lights, along with its smaller dimensions, help differentiate the EQE from the flagship EQS. A few of its exterior design details include an enclosed front grille, connected LED light bar for the headlights and connected LED tail lights.

Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV Interior And Features

On the inside, it is hard to differentiate the EQE SUV from its larger sibling. The dashboard features a total of 3 screens, which Mercedes like to call the ‘Hyperscreen’. The centre screen measures 17.7-inch and offers a plethora of controls and functions, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The passenger gets a personal screen, measuring 12.3-inch in size, for video playback and game support. The third screen is a 12.3-inch unit that serves the driver with vital vehicle information.

Speaking of features, the EQE SUV comes packed with Dolby Atmos sound system, energising comfort package, in-built perfume diffusers, adaptive air suspension, panoramic glass sunroof, capacitive steering controls, configurable ambient lighting and powered front seats with memory.

Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV Powertrain Details

On the powertrain front, the EQE SUV comes with a 90.6kWh battery pack, which powers rear- or rear and front-mounted electric motors depending on the grade. The base EQE SUV 350+ comes with a rear-mounted electric motor that offers 292PS of power and 565Nm of torque. The more powerful EQE SUV 500 4Matic comes with twin electric motors, which offer 408PS of power and 858Nm of torque. In terms of driving range, the EQE SUV offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 590km on a single charge with the 350+ grade. It remains to be seen which powertrain Mercedes-Benz pick for the Indian market.

Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV Launch Details

At this point, it is unclear whether Mercedes-Benz India will host an unveiling of the EQE or reveal the prices of the SUV on the same day as well. However, it is safe to assume that the new EQE SUV will hit our roads soon. When launched, the new EQE SUV will rival the BMW iX, Audi Q8 E-Tron and Jaguar I-Pace.
