July 2022 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

  • For Hyundai, the Creta was the top performer, with just over 12,500 units sold in July 2022
  • Creta and Venue were the only cars from Hyundai that managed to hit the 5-figure mark in June whereas in July 2022, the Grand i10 joined the 5-digit club, with 10,000 units leaving the factory floor
  • The Venue is the best performer in the mass-market cars from Hyundai in terms of YoY change in July 2022, with over a 46% gain in sales.
  • The top loser in Hyundai’s portfolio is the Santro, with a sales tally of 3 units in 2022 compared to a little under 2,000 units in July 2021.

July 2022 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - MoM Change

  • The Tucson should start performing better in the sales chart in the coming months as its new generation version is set to launch this month
  • The Alcazar was the top MoM gainer, with an improvement of over 45%
  • Other gainers were the Venue, Grand i10 and Verna recording around 16%, 11% and 10% growth, respectively
  • The Santro was the biggest loser in the month of June after posting single-digit numbers for the first time. It continued the trend in July as well, signaling its imminent farewell from the Indian market
