Jeep Electric Compact SUV Spy Shots Emerge Ahead Of Global Debut | V3Cars

Jeep revealed sketches of their first all-electric compact SUV a couple of months ago. The all-electric Jeep is now set to launch soon and the first images of the production-model surfaced online recently. It is set to become the smallest Jeep in the brand’s portfolio and it is likely to pack both hybrid and all-electric drivetrains.

The spy shots reveal the production model’s bright mustard yellow paint along with a black roof. At the front, it gets Jeep’s enclosed 7-slat grille with square-shaped chrome elements surrounding them. The grille is enclosed in a large black casing that also houses the LED headlights. The LED DRLs sit atop the headlights in a separate casing. The air dams and LED fog lights are placed low on the bumper.

At the side, the new compact SUV from Jeep lacks the signature squared-off wheel arches that’s offered with bigger Jeeps like the Renegade and Compass. Around the rear, it gets square LED tail lights surrounded by blacked-out borders, giving it a rugged appearance. The spied unit, however, lacks any kind of model badging and only wears a Jeep logo along with a green ‘e’ badge, hinting at its electric powertrain.

Closer to home, Jeep India revealed their plans to launch a subcompact Jeep with all-wheel-drive drivetrain, which could make it the first all-wheel-drive subcompact SUV in India. Jeep could bring the subcompact SUV to our shores in 2023 and it is likely to be based on the upcoming all-electric Jeep. The new Jeep SUV is likely to sit on Stellatis’ global modular platform that also underpins the Citroen C3.
