February 2023 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

  • The Creta is a consistent top performer for Hyundai, with over 10,000 units sold in February 2023
  • The Creta was the only cars from Hyundai’s stables with an5-digit sales number in February 2023
  • Disregarding the low-volume Tucson and Kona sales numbers for the purpose of this analysis, the i20 was the top gainer in our February 2023 YoY comparison, with a near-59% increase in sales
  • Among the losers, the Alcazar saw a 38% decline in sales in our February YoY comparison

February 2023 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - MoM Change

  • About half of Hyundai’s models saw a growth in dispatches in February over January
  • The Tucson was the top gainer, with a 177% growth in February MoM comparison analysis
  • The Tucson was followed by the Xcent/Aura pair, with over a 19% increase in sales in February compared to January. The B2-segment pair was followed by the i20, with a 13% MoM growth
  • Despite being the top-selling car for the brand, the Creta SUV lost about one-third of its dispatch numbers in February in comparison to January
  • The Verna was the top losing car for Hyundai with a 95% decline, followed by the Creta with 31% decline
  • Hyundai are launching the new-gen Verna on March 21, which could explain the low sales figures for the current-gen Verna in February 2023.
  • Hyundai failed to sell even a single unit of the Kona Electric in February 2023
