Citroen C3 To Get New Features — Test Car Spotted | V3Cars
The Citroen C3, which went on sale recently, lacks a few must-have and feel-good features. Citroen are likely to correct that in the near future and we spotted a C3 undergoing tests recently.
The test car reveals new features like rear washer and wiper and alloy wheels. Currently, even the top variant of the C3 doesn’t come with rear washer and wiper whereas alloy wheels are offered as an optional accessory. The new variant, on the other hand, is likely to offer alloy wheels and rear washer and wiper as a standard fitment.

Apart from that, the test car has all the features seen in the C3 Feel variant. These features include LED DRLs, halogen headlights, fog lights, skid plates, turn indicators on fenders and roof rails. The test car also gets an emblem on the left side of the tailgate, which could imply that it is powered by the 1.2L turbo petrol engine.
However, the emblem isn’t clear and opens up the possibility of the test car featuring an automatic transmission too. The lack of an automatic transmission option could be hurting the C3’s sales and Citroen could launch a turbo petrol automatic option to rectify the problem.

The UK-spec C3, which doesn’t have anything in common with the India-spec model, comes with a 1.2L turbo petrol engine paired with a torque converter automatic transmission. We expect Citroen India to offer the same engine-gearbox combo at a competitive price tag thanks to local production. However, there is no official confirmation about the same as of now.

The 1.2L turbo petrol engine in the C3 produces 110PS of power at 5500rpm and 190Nm of torque at 1750rpm. Currently, this engine comes with a 6-speed manual transmission whereas the 82PS 1.2L normal petrol engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. Like other carmakers, Citroen could charge around Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.20 lakh for the torque converter automatic transmission over the corresponding manual-equipped variants. Currently, the Citroen C3 price range starts from Rs. 5.88 lakh and goes up to Rs. 8.15 lakh ex-showroom.
