BYD Atto 3 Awarded 5 Stars By Euro NCAP In Latest Crash Test | V3Cars

While Euro NCAP tested the left-hand-drive version of the base Active variant, the results are valid for all the other variants, including right-hand-drive (RHD) versions as well. The Atto 3 scored 31.57 points out of 34.7 in adult occupant safety and 39.16 points out of 44 in child occupant safety.

The base Active variant of the Atto 3 was equipped with safety features like front, side and curtain airbags, seatbelt pretensioners, ISOFIX, seatbelt reminders, auto emergency braking, lane keep assist, rear cross traffic alerts and speed assistance. These features will be on offer with the India-spec Atto 3 as well, along with other  Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features.

The India-spec BYD Atto 3 electric crossover gets a 60.48kWh battery pack that is good for an ARAI-certified range of 521km on a single charge. The BYD Atto 3 is the longest and widest SUV in its class. It also gets a class leading wheelbase of 2720mm. Overall, the Atto 3 is likely to offer impressive road presence compared to its rivals.

Furthermore, the Atto 3 comes with a single electric motor that puts out 203PS of power and 310Nm of torque. BYD will launch the Atto 3 electric crossover in November while deliveries will begin in January 2023. It rivals the likes of the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric, Tata Nexon EV Max and the upcoming Mahindra XUV400.
