7 Features Kia Sonet X Line Gets But Hyundai Venue N Line Doesn’t | V3Cars

The Hyundai Venue is one of the best-selling B2-segment SUVs in the country and its recently launched N Line variant is targeted towards enthusiasts. Kia, on the other hand, recently launched the Sonet X Line with cosmetic updates.

Features Kia Sonet X Line Gets Over Hyundai Venue N Line

In this article, we tell you the features that you get in the Sonet X Line over the Venue N Line.

1. X Line Styling

The Sonet X Line comes with several design enhancements over the regular Sonet. These include a matte grey colour, gloss black grille, tweaked skid plates, new 16-inch alloy wheels, silver brake callipers, dark chrome fog lamp surrounds, and X Line logo. On the inside, the Sonet X Line gets leatherette seats with orange stitching with X Line embossing on the headrests and premium black headliner.

2. Premium Sound System

The Kia Sonet X Line comes with a Bose surround sound system with 4 speakers, 2 tweeters and a subwoofer. The Hyundai Venue N Line, on the other hand, gets an unbranded audio system with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters. The Venue pre-facelift  was offered with an Arkamys sound system but Hyundai decided to remove it due to the high licensing cost for the premium sound system.

3. Front Parking Sensor

The Sonet X Line comes with front and rear parking sensors whereas the Venue N Line comes with rear parking sensors only. While both cars get rear parking cameras, the addition of front parking sensors in the Sonet X Line makes parking in tight spots easier.

4. Ventilated Front Seats

The Kia Sonet X Line offers ventilated seats at the front while the Venue lacks this feature. Apart from the Sonet, only the Nexon offers front ventilated seats in the sub-compact SUV segment.

5. Traction Modes

The Kia Sonet gets 3 predefined traction modes – mud, sand and snow. Apart from that, the Sonet also gets multiple drive modes. The Hyundai Venue, on the other hand, only gets drive modes for the engine and transmission and a fairly standard traction control system with no modes.

6. Projector Fog Lamps

The Sonet X Line comes with projector fog lamps whereas the Venue N Line lacks this feature. The addition of fog lamps increases visibility while driving in foggy conditions.

7. 10.25-inch Touchscreen Infotainment

The Sonet X Line offers a bigger and better 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system over the Venue N Line that comes with a smaller 8.0-inch unit. However, both models only offer wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay whereas the mid variants of the Sonet and Venue offer wireless functionality for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
