Volkswagen To Launch Tiguan R-Line On April 14 – What To Expect | V3Cars

Volkswagen India have confirmed the launch of the Tiguan R-Line. The latest SUV from Volkswagen will launch on April 14, 2025. Compared to the standard variants of the Tiguan, the R-Line offers a sporty exterior and interior along with a powerful petrol-automatic powertrain. Here’s everything you can expect from the 2025 Tiguan R-Line.

2025 Tiguan R-Line Exterior

Compared to the standard variants, the Tiguan R-Line offers a gloss black fascia and a sporty front bumper with large air intakes. It also offers LED lighting at the front and rear along with an LED light bar at the front and a connected taillamp setup at the rear. 19-inch alloy wheels complement the sporty aesthetics of the Tiguan R-Line further.

The Tiguan R-Line offers the same cabin layout as the standard Tiguan, albeit with some changes such as a sporty 3-spoke steering wheel. Other features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, ambient lighting with 3 zones, a panoramic sunroof, and sports seats.

2025 Tiguan R-Line Powertrain Specs

VW India are yet to confirm the powertrain specs of the India-bound Tiguan R Line, but we expect it to come packed with the same 2L turbo petrol engine as the Kodiaq SUV along with VW’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. This engine produces 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque and comes mated to VW’s 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

2025 Tiguan R-Line Expected Prices

In terms of pricing, we expect the Tiguan R Line to cost around Rs. 45 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom), considering it will be a full import. For reference, the standard Tiguan is priced at Rs. 38.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
