Skoda Kylaq 2025 Engine Specs Confirmed (Brezza, Nexon Rival) | V3Cars

Skoda India are set to unveil their highly anticipated B2-SUV, the Kylaq, on November 6, 2024. As the global debut approaches, the automaker has shared details about the upcoming model, including its engine specifications.

2025 Skoda Kylaq Engine Specs Confirmed

To make use of the tax and excise benefits on cars measuring under 4 metres, it must have a petrol engine with a displacement of under 1.2L or a diesel engine under 1.5L. Since Skoda do not offer diesel engines anymore and one of their turbo petrol engines on offer currently is a 1.5L engine, the Kylaq will only feature the smaller 1.0L turbo petrol engine that powers the base variants of the Slavia and Kushaq. This engine will be offered with 2 transmission options – a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Skoda have confirmed the Kylaq’s 1.0L turbo petrol engine will offer 115PS of power and 178Nm of torque. Here’s how the Kylaq’s engine specs compares against its rivals powered by turbo petrol engines:

Among its turbo petrol rivals, the Skoda Kylaq is more powerful than the Fronx, Taisor, Magnite, Kiger and the XUV 3XO with multipoint fuel injection. However, the Nexon, Sonet, Venue and the XUV 3XO with direct injection are more powerful than the Kylaq.
