MG Windsor EV Variants And Features

As reported by V3Cars earlier, the MG Windsor EV is available in 3 variants:

• Excite
• Exclusive
• Essence

MG call the Windsor EV a CUV, or a crossover utility vehicle. The new Windsor EV features a clean and minimalist design with features such as connected LED DRLs and tail lights. The headlamps are located lower down the front bumper and feature LED illumination as well. The charging port is located in the front left fender of the Windsor EV. Exterior design highlights include:

• Fixed glass roof
• 18-inch alloy wheels
• Flush door handle
• Roof rails
• Integrated roof spoiler
• Chrome accents

On the inside, the new Windsor EV features an all-black cabin with gold accents. The dashboard gets wooden trim and a segment-leading 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Feature highlights of the Windsor EV’s cabin include:

• 6 airbags
• Flat-bottom 2-spoke steering wheel
• Rear reclining seats (up to 135-degree)
• Ventilated front seats
• 6-way powered driver’s seat
• 256-colour LED ambient lighting
• Driver armrest with storage
• Rear centre armrest with cupholder
• Rear AC vent
• 9-speaker audio system
• PM 2.5 cabin filter
• Digital Bluetooth key with key sharing

The MG Windsor EV does not offer ADAS.

MG Windsor EV Battery And Electric Motor Specs

The MG Windsor EV 2024 is only available with a 38kWh battery pack. MG claim the Windsor EV offers a range of 331km per charge.

All variants of the Windsor EV come with a 3.3kW portable charging cable. As standard, the Excite and Exclusive variants come with a 3.3kW AC home charging box while the top Essence variant comes with a 7.4kW AC fast charger. Buyers of the Excite and Exclusive variants can get the faster charging box at an additional cost.

2024 MG Windsor EV Dimensions

In terms of dimensions, the 2024 MG Windsor EV is longer than the Nexon but shorter than Curvv. However, it is the widest of the lot and also boasts of segment-leading wheelbase as well.

2024 MG Windsor EV Colour Options

MG are offering the 2024 Windsor EV in 4 colours:

• Starburst Black
• Pearl White
• Cay Beige
• Turquoise Green

JSW MG Motor India are offering a lifetime battery warranty for the first owners of the Windsor EV, which essentially means this warranty cannot be transferred to the second owner. MG are also offering the Windsor EV with a 3-60 assured buyback plan, where in owners can get 60% of the cost of the car by selling the Windsor EV back to MG after a period of 3 years. 

Additionally, the manufacturer is also offering a ‘3-3-3 Ownership Package’, which includes 3-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 3-year 24/7 roadside assistance (RSA) and 3 scheduled services with no labour charges.
