8 Features New Mahindra XUV 3XO Gets Over Hyundai Venue | V3Cars
Mahindra’s B2-segment SUV, the XUV300, is back with a thoroughly revised design, updated features and a new name – the XUV 3XO. The 2024 XUV 3XO is Mahindra’s answer to new and updated rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Hyundai Venue and the Kia Sonet. The carmaker has added several new features to their B2-segment SUV to woo customers to their showrooms.
In this article, we take a look at 8 features the new Mahindra XUV 3XO gets over the 2024 Hyundai Venue.
1. Panoramic Sunroof
Mahindra are capitalising on the Indian car buyers’ love for sunroof by offering the new XUV 3XO with a segment-first panoramic sunroof. Although the panoramic sunroof feature is limited to the top AX7 and AX7 Luxury variant only, Mahindra offer a single-pane sunroof from the MX2 Pro onwards.
In comparison, the 2024 Venue only gets a single-pane sunroof. However, it is limited to a few variants (S Plus, S (O), SX (O), and SX (O) Knight) equipped with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with DCT automatic transmission.
2. Adaptive Cruise Control
While both the Mahindra XUV 3XO and Hyundai Venue offer ADAS forward collision warning, auto emergency braking, lane keeping assist, etc, Only the Mahindra XUV 3XO offers adaptive cruise control.
However, adaptive cruise control is only available in the automatic variants of the XUV 3XO. The manual variants also lack smart pilot assist, which essentially combines adaptive cruise control with lane keeping assist and auto emergency braking for a safe yet relaxing drive on the highway. Know more about the adaptive cruise control feature in the XUV 3XO here.
3. Larger 10.24-Inch Touchscreen
The Mahindra XUV 3Xo offers a 10.24-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the MX2 variant onwards. The Venue, on the other hand, offers an 8-inch touchscreen from the S variant all the way up to the SX (O) variant. Both SUVs offer a digital instrument cluster as well. However, while the Veue offers this feature from the base variant, Mahindra only offer it from the AX5 variant of the XUV 3XO.
4. 17-Inch Alloy Wheels
The top AX7 and AX7 Luxury variant of the new XUV 3XO comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the base and mid variants come with 16-inch steel and alloy wheels, respectively. In comparison, the Venue comes with 16-inch alloy wheels in its mid and top trims.

5. Electronic Parking Brake
The XUV 3XO variants that offer ADAS – the AX5 Luxury and AX7 Luxury – offer an electronic parking brake with auto hold function. The other variants of Mahindra’s B2-segment SUV get a conventional handbrake. In comparison, the Venue comes with a conventional handbrake across the range. However, it offers hill hold control as standard on all variants.
An electronic parking brake offers enhanced convenience and safety as you don't need to keep your foot on the brake pedal when stopped at a light or in traffic. This can be especially helpful for stop-and-go driving, reducing leg fatigue. When you press the accelerator, the auto hold feature automatically disengages and you can drive away. Auto hold also prevents your car from rolling unintentionally, especially on hills.
6. 360-Degree Surround View System
The 2024 XUV 3XO offers a 360-degree surround view system in the top AX7 Luxury variant. This feature is missing in the Hyundai Venue.
A 360-degree surround view camera, which is also known as around-view camera or top-down camera, is a feature in modern cars that provides a real-time bird’s eye view of your car’s surroundings. This feature helps manoeuvring your car into tight parking spots with complete confidence as it gives you a view of obstacles around you. Thus, a 360-degree camera or around-view camera eliminates guesswork and anxiety while parking a car.

7. Dual Zone Climate Control
The Mahindra XUV 3XO offers dual-zone climate control from the AX5 variant onwards, while the Hyundai Venue only offers a single-zone climate control from the VXI variant onwards.
8. USB-A Charging
While it may not be a ground-breaking feature, the XUV 3XO offers both USB-A and USB-C charging ports, giving owners with older USB-A type charging cables a slot to charge their phones.
Mahindra XUV 3XO Vs Hyundai Venue – Base Variants Compared
The 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO offers several features as standard right from the base variant that are only available in the mid or top variants of the Hyundai Venue. They include:
- Engine start stop
- LED DRLs
- Front centre armrest
