Kia Update Select Variants Of Sonet 2024 With New Features | V3Cars
Last week Kia India announced the launch of the 2024 Sonet GTX variant. The new GTX variant of the Sonet sits between the HTX Plus and GTX Plus variants of the Seltos 2024. Now Kia India have announced they have added new features to the Sonet 2024’s HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK (O), HTK Plus and HTX variants. 2024 Kia Sonet Variant-Wise Feature Additions
- The 2024 Sonet HTE, HTE (O), HTK and HTK (O) variants are now available with ISOFIX child seat anchors
- The HTK (O) variant also gets a rear wiper and washer as standard now
- The HTK variant gets a new powertrain option – the 1.0L turbo petrol with 6-speed ACMT (auto-clutch manual transmission)
- The HTK Plus variant now gets LED headlamps, which was earlier reserved for HTX and above variants
- The HTK Plus variant also gets rear wiper and washer, and ISOFIX child seat anchors
- The HTX variant of the Sonet gets new features such as a wireless phone charger, rear wiper and washer, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels
- The newly launched GTX variant of the Sonet offers features such as drive and traction modes, leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, paddle shifters, 360-degree surround camera with blind spot detection, and auto up/down power windows
2024 Kia Sonet HTK Now Available With 1.0L Turbo Petrol
Until now, the 2024 Sonet’s HTK variant was only available with Kia’s 1.2-litre petrol with a 5-speed manual and 1.5-litre diesel with a 6-speed manual transmission. Now, Kia have added another powertrain option for the HTK variant of the Sonet – the 1.0L turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed ACMT. The new Sonet HTK turbo petrol variant is priced at Rs. 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs. 60,000 more expensive than the 1.2L petrol-manual and Rs. 90,000 more affordable than the 1.5L diesel-manual variants of the Sonet HTK.

The Kia Sonet’s 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 83PS of power and 115Nm of torque whereas the 1.0L turbo petrol engine puts out 120PS of power and 172Nm of torque. The 1.5L diesel engine that powers the Sonet produces 116PS of power and 250Nm of torque.
