2024 Hyundai Verna Gets New Rear Spoiler

Hyundai India are offering a Rear Spoiler Edition of the Verna in the following variants – S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Dual Tone. The Rear Spoiler Edition of the Verna is priced at a premium of Rs. 5,000 over the standard variants they are based on. Hyundai offer this edition with both the normal petrol and turbo petrol engine options.

Speaking of the spoiler, it is attached to the boot lid and gives the impression of a split spoiler. While one can argue it gives the Verna a sporty look, I prefer the sedan without it as it looks like an aftermarket add-on and does not provide any improvement in performance either.

2024 Verna Now Available In Amazon Grey

Apart from the rear spoiler, Hyundai have also expanded the colour options for the 2024 Verna by adding a new Amazon Grey option. With the latest addition, the Hyundai Verna is available in 8 monotone and 2 dual-tone colour options:

  • Atlas White
  • Typhoon Silver
  • Titan Grey
  • Abyss Black Pearl
  • Tellurian Brown Pearl
  • FIery Red
  • Starry Night
  • Amazon Grey
  • Atlas White with Abyss Black
  • Fiery Red with Abyss Black

The 2024 Hyundai Verna continues with the same powertrains as before. The 1.5L normal petrol engine is available with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic. It produces 115PS of power and 144Nm of torque. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine produces 160PS of power and 253Nm of torque. It is offered with the choice of a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT).

The Hyundai Verna rivals other C-segment sedans such as the Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
