10 Features 2024 Hyundai Alcazar Facelift Gets Over Hyundai Creta | V3Cars
Hyundai have launched the Alcazar facelift at a starting price of Rs. 15.0 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Alcazar offers a thoroughly refreshed design inside-out and a couple of new features as well.
In this article, we take a look at 10 features the Alcazar facelift gets but the Hyundai Creta doesn’t.
1. Digital Key
Chief among the new features the Hyundai Alcazar facelift offers but the Creta does not is the digital key feature. Digital Key is a convenient feature that allows you to use your smartphone as a key to lock, unlock, and even start your Alcazar SUV. The Digital Key features uses Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology to securely connect your smartphone to the SUV.
The Digital Key feature is activated by logging into Hyundai’s Bluelink App on your smartphone, registering your new Alcazar to the app and following the on-screen pairing instructions. Once registered, your smartphone can lock, unlock your SUV and even start the engine by placing the phone on the wireless charging pad. Hyundai say up to 3 users and 7 devices can utilise the Digital Key feature. However, this feature is limited to the top-spec Signature variant.
2. 2nd Row Wireless Charger
The Alcazar facelift also offers a wireless charger for 2nd row passengers, which is a feature that is missing in the Creta. The 2nd row wireless charger is situated at the back of the front centre console and Hyundai also provide 2 USB-C charging sockets next to it. Additionally, 3rd row passengers get a single USB-C charger in the base Executive and mid-spec Prestige variants while the top Platinum and Signature variants offer 2 USB-C ports.
3. Ventilated 2nd Row Captain Seats (6-Seater Only)
The top Signature 6-seater variant of the Alcazar offers 2nd row ventilated captain seats. In comparison, the Creta neither gets captain seats nor ventilated 2nd row seats. The cooled 2nd row captain seats are ideal for chauffeur-driven owners of the Alcazar facelift.

4. Boss Mode (6-Seater Only)
Chauffeur-driven owners of Alcazar Prestige 6-seater variant also get to enjoy enhanced leg room by sliding the front co-passenger seat forward with just the push of a button. The controls for the sliding mechanism are located within easy reach of the 2nd row passenger sitting behind the front co-passenger seat.
5. Extendable Thigh Cushions (6-Seater Only)
The Alcazar 6-seater also offers extendable thigh cushions for 2nd row passengers, a useful feature that is not available in the Creta or the Alcazar’s 7-seater variants. The 2nd row thigh cushions are offered only in the Signature variant, and they enhance comfort by allowing the passengers to manually extend the underthigh support.
6. Winged 2nd Row Headrests (6-Seater Only)
The winged headrests for the 2nd row captain seats are available in the top 2 variants and allow passengers to rest their head and take a nap on long journeys. This feature is also available in the recently-launched Citroen Basalt coupe-SUV.
7. 8-Way Powered Driver’s Seat With Memory Function
The Alcazar facelift offers an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat with memory function for up to 2 drivers. This is a handy feature if 2 or more people with different seating preferences drive the SUV regularly. However, this feature is limited to the top-spec Signature variant only.
8. 8-Way Powered Co-Driver’s Seat
Apart from the powered driver’s seat, the Alcazar facelift also offers an 8-way power adjustable co-driver seat. Like the driver’s seat with memory function, this feature is only available in the top Signature variant. With 8 different adjustment options, the co-driver can find their ideal seating position for optimal comfort and support during long drives. The various adjustments can help alleviate fatigue and discomfort, especially on long trips.
9. Rain-Sensing Wipers
The Hyundai Alcazar facelift offers rain-sensing wipers in its top 2 variants while the Hyundai Creta does not get this feature in any of its variants. Rain-sensing wipers automatically adjust their speed based on the intensity of rainfall, eliminating the need for manual adjustment. With rain-sensing wipers, drivers can focus on the road ahead without having to constantly adjust the wiper speed.
10. Front Seatback Foldable Table With Cup Holder
Last but not least, all variants of the Alcazar facelift offer a foldable table with a retractable cup holder on the front seatback. The foldable table lets 2nd row passengers place their smartphone or a tablet for personal entertainment and work on the go. While the table isn’t deep enough to accommodate a laptop, it is adequate for holding a tablet with a keyboard attachment. The additional cup holders come in handy in variants with the 6-seater layout as there’s no console in between the 2 captain chairs to hold your drinks.
