Force Motors have reduced the Gurkha 3 Door’s length by 151mm, making it a sub-4 metre SUV like the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Suzuki Jimny. The new Gurkha 3 Door is also 53mm wider and 5mm taller than its predecessor. While the wheelbase of 2400mm remains the same as before, the 2024 Gurkha 3 Door offers a 28mm increase in ground clearance, which should make it even more off-road capable than before.
Off-road aficionados can rest assured the new Gurkha 3 Door is as capable, if not more, as the older model as the approach, breakover and departure angle remain the same as before at 36 degrees, 24 degrees and 50 degrees, respectively. Even the water wading capability of 700mm remains the same as before.

The 2024 Gurkha 3 Door is powered by the same Mercedes-derived 2.6-litre diesel engine as its predecessor. However, the Gurkha 3 Door 2024 puts out 48PS more power and 70Nm more torque. Hence, we expect the Gurkha 3 Door to not only be more capable off the beaten path but also offer better drivability on the highway as well.
While Force Motors have not revealed the fuel efficiency or mileage figures of either the old Gurkha or the new model, we expect the 2024 Gurkha 3 Door to be less efficient than the older model due to the increased power and torque output, and larger alloy wheels. The latter increases the effort required by the engine to move the car due to the increase in rotating mass, thus leading to a decrease in mileage.
