New Gen 2023 Tata Nexon Spotted Undisguised On Road | V3Cars
The new 2023 Tata Nexon was recently captured undisguised on the road by one of our subscribers. The video gives us a detailed overview of its exterior changes over the outgoing model. Read on to know more about the 2023 new-gen Tata Nexon.
2023 Tata Nexon Spotted Undisguised — Exterior Changes
Speaking of the changes at the front, the new video clearly reveals the LED DRL design lacking the connected strip, which we expected the new Nexon to offer. The LED DRLs are surrounded by a black applique that runs the width of the front, mimicking the connected lighting effect. The main headlights — like the rest of Tata SUVs — sit lower on the bumper in a separate casing, which could also incorporate fog lights.

Furthermore, its lower bumper looks more prominent with a generous use of black cladding all around. The lower radiator grille also boasts of a slot design, which is likely to replace the tri-arrow pattern seen on the outgoing model. Around the side, the new Nexon gets prominent wheel arch cladding and new 5-spoke alloy wheels. Like the outgoing model, the new Nexon also gets a border around the windowline, which in the test car was finished in gloss black. Speaking of the changes at the rear, the new Nexon offers a connected LED tail light design with Y-shaped design at either end. Other changes include reflectors placed on the lower bumper along with body coloured surrounds.
2023 Tata Nexon New Interior And Features
While the recently emerged video only lend us a look of its exterior design, the earlier spy shots revealed the key design and functional changes on its interior. Apart from the redesign dashboard, the new Nexon will also make use of more premium materials for the seat upholstery and crash pads. The interior spy shots reveal indigo-coloured seat upholstery and the same material is also used on the lower part of the dashboard.
Other key features of the 2023 Tata Nexon’s interior include a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system and a full-colour LCD display. Like we reported earlier, the new Nexon will also boast Tata’s new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo in the centre. The new Nexon could also offer new features like wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rain-sensing wipers, 360-degree parking camera, and capacitive steering-mounted controls.

2023 Tata Nexon Powertrain Details
While the new Nexon will offer a host of changes in terms of its design and features, it is likely to retain the current model’s powertrain options. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine, which in the current iteration produces 120PS of power and 170Nm of torque, is likely to boast no changes except for one — the automatic transmission. While the 6-speed manual is likely to remain as is, Tata could introduce a new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with the new Nexon instead of the 6-speed AMT of the current model. The diesel variants of the new Nexon are expected to retain the current model’s 1.5L turbo diesel engine and 6-speed manual and AMT transmission choices.
New-Gen 2023 Tata Nexon Launch Details
Since the 2023 Tata Nexon has started reaching dealerships, we expect Tata Motors to reveal the new Nexon in September 2023. The carmaker is likely to open Nexon bookings soon and we expect Tata to reveal the full price list in mid-September. The new Nexon will continue to rival other B2-SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
