Tata Nexon EV Unveiling Tomorrow
Multiple teasers of the new Nexon EV have confirmed Tata Motors’ plan to unveil the electric SUV on September 7.. The teasers also gave us a sneak peek into its exterior details and the key changes over the ICE-powered Nexon. The new Nexon EV is set to become the first Tata EV to be launched under the rebranded “Tata.EV” division and the electric SUV will now be called the Nexon.EV.

Tata Nexon EV Design Highlights
While Tata are yet to reveal the design details of the Nexon EV, the first teasers for the upcoming SUV revealed a few highlights. To begin with, the Nexon EV will feature a full-width LED DRL at the front that lights up in a sequential manner when the car is unlocked. The front bumper of the Nexon EV will also feature slimmer air inlets in a fin-like design to increase aerodynamic efficiency. Around the side, the Nexon EV could feature a new set of alloy wheels while the rear profile will offer connected LED tail lights and Nexon.EV branding spread across the tailgate.
2023 Tata Nexon EV Features
We expect Tata Motors to reveal the complete details of the new Nexon EV on September 7. Just like the new Nexon, the 2023 Nexon EV will boast Tata’s npdatedew desiulanguage that includes the split LED headlight design and connected LED tail lights. However, to create a design distinction between the electric and ICE models, Tata could add a few EV specific touches to the Nexon EV.
In terms of features, the Nexon EV could offer a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, multi-level regenerative braking, multiple drive modes, a wireless phone charger, and front ventilated seats.

2023 Tata Nexon EV Electric Powertrain Specs
In terms of specifications, Tata Motors could enhance the battery efficiency and overall driving range of the 2023 Nexon EV. However, we do not expect Tata to offer any drastic changes over the outgoing Nexon EV Max. The current Nexon EV Max comes with a 40.5kWh battery pack that powers a front-mounted electric motor. It offers 143PS of power and 250Nm of torque. The Nexon EV Max offers an ARAI-certified range of 453km on a single charge. It also offers multiple levels for regenerative braking and 3 driving modes. The Nexon EV Max can be charged from 0-80% in under 1 hour with a 50kW DC fast charger.
2023 Tata Nexon EV Launch Details And Rivals
With the unveil set to take place on September 7, Tata Motors could annonce the prices of the electric SUV at the launch of the Nexon, which is slated to take place on September 14. The new Nexon EV will continue to rival other electric SUVs like the Hyundai Kona EV, Mahindra XUV400 and MG ZS EV.
