Skoda Kamiq SUV Facelift Breaks Cover | V3Cars
Skoda have taken the wraps off of the new Kamiq facelift. The Kamiq is Skoda’s smallest SUV in their global portfolio and it measures roughly the same as the Skoda Kushaq sold in India. Read on to know more about the changes made to the Kamiq.
Skoda Kamiq Facelift — Exterior Details
On the outside, the Kamiq facelift gets a couple of changes over the outgoing model and it now offers a sharper front fascia. It gets a larger and more upright Skoda butterfly grille, which is flanked by tweaked split LED headlights. For a sportier look, the Monte Carlo offers an exclusive red paint along with gloss black elements. Around the side, the new Kamiq offers a range of new alloy wheel designs going up to 18-inches in size. At the back, the new Kamiq offers sleeker LED tail lights with a unique LED treatment.

Skoda Kamiq Facelift — Interior And Features
On the inside, the Kamiq puts more focus on sustainability by using recycled materials for the door cards and floor mats. The centre of the dashboard features a large 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Kamiq also boasts a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with customisable modes. The Monte Carlo variant further adds sporty bits like red ambient lighting, black interior with red highlights and a faux carbon finish on the dashboard crashpad.
Skoda Kamiq Facelift — Powertrain Details
Skoda offer the updated Kamiq facelift with a choice of 3 petrol engines. The base engine is a 1.0L turbo petrol that produces 95PS of power and comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The second engine is the 1.0L turbo petrol, which produces 115PS of power and offers a choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The higher variants also offer the option of a 1.5L turbo petrol engine that produces 150PS of power and comes with both manual and DCT options. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine is the same unit that powers the Kushaq and Slavia and offers active cylinder deactivation technology, which improves efficiency and lowers emissions.

Skoda Kamiq Facelift — Will It Come To India?
Since the Skoda Kushaq and Kamiq are very closely related to each other, it makes little sense for Skoda to launch the Kamiq in India. It is worth mentioning that we can expect Skoda to take certain design cues from the updated Kamiq and incorporate them in the Kushaq facelift as and when that arrives in the Indian market.
