2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Exterior Changes

The Seltos facelift boasts a couple of design changes at the front and rear profiles. Up front, it gets a larger grille with a new mesh pattern. The LED headlights get a revision and sit a little lower, whereas the LED DRLs now find their way inside the grille, rather than sitting atop the grille in the current model. The lower bumper also gets a revision and the ice-cubed fog lights do not see any changes.

Around the side, the Seltos facelift remains similar to the current model, save for the new design for the alloy wheels. At the rear, the Seltos facelift gains a connected LED light bar for the tail lights, which have also grown bigger and received a design overhaul. The facelift makes the SUV look a lot fresher and bolder over the current Seltos.

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Interior And Features

The upcoming India-bound Seltos facelift could feature a connected, twin-screen setup measuring 10.25-inch similar to the ones in the Kia EV6. Furthermore, the dashboard could also see a revision with a generous use of soft touch materials. The space and practicality inside the cabin is unlikely to see any change. Like the current Seltos, the facelift also doesn’t offer a panoramic sunroof globally. However, considering the popularity of panoramic sunroof in the segment, Kia may offer a panoramic sunroof in the top variants of the Seltos facelift.

In terms of features, Kia have added advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Currently, the MG Astor is the only SUV in its class to offer ADAS features and the Seltos is likely to follow suit soon. It is likely to boast features such as automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection and adaptive cruise control.

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Powertrain Details

Kia are likely to continue with the same 1.5L normal petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel for the Setlos facelift. Both engines will soon receive updates for  BS6 phase 2 emission compliance and ready for E20 fuel. However, Kia are likely to pull the plug on the more-powerful 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine. The carmaker is likely to replace the 1.4L turbo petrol engine with a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine from its global lineup. The same engine is also likely to power multiple Kia and Hyundai offerings in India.

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift India Launch Timeline

Kia are likely to launch the Seltos facelift in mid-2023. Hence, we can expect Kia dealerships to accept unofficial bookings for the upcoming SUV in a few months’ time. The Seltos facelift will continue to go up against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
