After over 4 years since its launch, the Seltos is finally receiving a major update in the form of a mid-life facelift. Kia are all set to unveil the India-spec Seltos facelift tomorrow ahead of its launch in August 2023. Read on to know more about the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift.

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Exterior Changes

The Seltos facelift offers a couple of prominent changes on the front and rear profiles while the side profile only sees the inclusion of a new set of alloy wheels. At the front, the Seltos facelift gets a larger grille and its LED DRLs now sit lower and the lighting elements extend into the grille. The LED headlights seem to have gained a projector setup over the current Seltos’ reflector-based LED units. The lower bumper also gets a redesign but it retains its ice-cube-shaped fog lights.

Around the side, the Seltos facelift gets newly-designed alloy wheels, which are likely to measure 17-inch in size. The Seltos X Line, on the other hand, could offer 18-inch alloy wheels like the current model. At the rear, the Setlos now gets connected LED taillights and the edges of tail lamps sit vertically rather than horizontally. The rear bumper looks more aggressive than before thanks to body colour inserts and twin exhaust ports.

On the inside, the new Kia Seltos facelift will offer a slightly redesigned dashboard layout, which now features a connected twin-screen binnacle. Both screens are likely to measure 10.25-inch in size and the instrument cluster is also likely to offer different customisation options. The touchscreen infotainment system also offers physical controls for volume and multimedia and it could also offer wireless connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Furthermore, in terms of features, the Seltos facelift will offer advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features. Other features also include dual-zone climate control, panoramic glass roof, powered driver seat, front ventilated seats and ambient lighting.

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Powertrain Details

The 2023 Kia Seltos is likely to offer the same set of normal petrol and turbo diesel engine options as the current model. Furthermore, it could also offer Hyundai-Kia’s new 1.5L turbo petrol engine that is already available in the new Verna and updated Carens MPV. The new turbo petrol engine will replace the now discontinued 1.35L (1.4L in Kia’s speak) turbo petrol engine. Kia are likely to offer a 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with the 1.5L turbo petrol engine.
