New Verna To Get Wireless Connectivity Soon: Hyundai | V3Cars

At the launch of the Verna 2023, Hyundai officials told V3Cars that they are currently working on an update that will enable wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in the new C2-segment sedan.

Hyundai Verna’s 10.25-inch System To Get Wireless Connectivity Soon

The new Verna 2023 offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the SX turbo petrol and SX(O) normal petrol and turbo petrol variants. Currently, the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system only offers wired connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. However, Hyundai is working on an update that will soon enable wireless connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Hyundai officials told V3Cars that they are trying to resolve a privacy issue before rolling out the update to the masses. The over-the-air update will be offered free of charge to all Verna 2023 owners and it’s likely to roll out soon.

8.0-Inch System Already Gets Wireless Connectivity

Surprisingly, the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system of the Verna 2023 already offers wireless connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is available in S and SX normal petrol variants of the Verna 2023. However, the wireless connectivity features are not mentioned in the new Verna brochure unlike other Hyundai cars. While we do not know the reason why Hyundai have not mentioned this feature in the new Verna’s brochure, we assume that it helps avoid potential buyers from not buying the top variants of the new Verna for their lack of wireless connectivity.

Other Hyundai Models Likely To Get OTA Update Too

Apart from the new Verna, Hyundai offer the 10.25-inch touchscreen system in other cars, such as i20, Creta, Alcazar and Tucson. Once Hyundai roll out the OTA update for the new Verna, we could expect the other models to get the update for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well.
