Tata Nexon EV Max – Top 5 Things To Know | V3Cars
Tata Motor recently launched the Nexon EV Max with a bigger battery pack and higher claimed range. It has gathered the interest of several car buyers looking to make the with to all-electric cars and as a result, has a waiting period of over 4 months.
If you plan to buy the Nexon EV Max, here are the top 5 things you need to know about it.
1. Design
The Nexon EV Max is a slightly modified version of the Nexon EV, which itself looks like the Nexon ICE with a few changes. The Nexon EV Max gets a halogen projector headlamp with integrated LED DRLs at the front. The bumper houses fog lamps in a high position and the lower grille has Tata’s tri-arrow design element.

From the side, the Nexon EV Max gets a sloping roofline, giving it a coupe-like look. It also gets a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels and EV badge on the front fenders. The rear too looks identical to the standard Nexon EV with an EV badge on the boot. Hence, the only change in terms of design are the new alloy wheels and a new and exclusive Dark Blue colour option.
2. Battery And Motor
The Nexon EV Max gets a 40.5kWh battery, which is significantly bigger than the 30.2kWh battery pack in the standard Nexon EV. As a result, it produces 143PS of power and 250Nm of torque, which is 14PS and 5Nm more than the standard Nexon EV. The charging time, however, with a 3.3kW home charger has gone up by 4 hours and now takes 12.5 hours to juice up from 0 to 80%. As expected, the claimed range has also gone up. Tata claim a range of 437km on a single charge with the Nexon EV Max. We will discuss the range in detail in the next section.

Do note that the range may vary drastically depending on driving mode, regen mode, driving style, load, outside temperature and features used.
