2022 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift Spied On Test In Korea | V3Cars
The Hyundai Grand i10 is one of the best-selling hatchbacks in the country. Hyundai launched the Grand i10 Nios in 2019 and it’s now due for an update. The 2022 Grand i10 Nios facelift was recently spied on test in South Korea wearing camouflage at the front and rear.
In terms of exterior changes, the Grand i10 Nios facelift sports a new set of LED DRLs behind the camouflage. We can expect the new Grand i10 Nios to boast bigger, triangular-shaped LED DRLs. However, the shape of the headlights seem to be the same as the ones on the current car and even the yellow lighting is retained. We can also expect a new grille on the Grand i10 Nios facelift with new chrome elements.

Around the side, the Grand i10 Nios doesn’t receive any design changes, save for a new set of alloy wheels. It gets a new dual-tone 5-spoke alloy wheels whereas the window line and doors remain the same as before. At the rear, while the image doesn’t show a lot, we can expect it to get bigger LED tail lights over the smaller halogen-based tail lights seen on the current Grand i10 Nios.

On the inside, the 2022 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is likely to come with a redesigned dashboard layout. We can expect an updated touchscreen with a new interface. Hyundai could also tweak the steering wheel and instrument cluster along with some minor changes made to the upholstery colours. However, we do not expect any big changes in terms of space and comfort.
In terms of powertrains, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is likely to carry the same 1.2L normal petrol engine with BS6 phase-2 emission norms compliance. In the current model, it churns out 83PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4000rpm. It comes with the option of a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual transmission options. However, we do not expect Hyundai to offer the 1.2L turbo diesel engine with Grand i10 Nios facelift.
Hyundai could showcase the Grand i10 Nios facelift at the 2023 Auto Expo and launch it in the weeks thereafter. It will continue to rival other small hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Tata Tiago.
