In terms of design, the 6GT facelift looks sharper than before. Upfront, it gets a larger grille flanked by updated LED headlamps which are now slimmer featuring new L-shaped DRLs. The front bumper is also refreshed and looks sportier and aggressive than before. The side and rear profile, however, remain largely unchanged save for a new set of alloy wheels and new trapezoidal exhaust tips.
Similarly, on the inside, while the layout remains unchanged it is more loaded than before. It gets a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that replaces the older 10.25-inch unit. It also gets reversing assistant that stores the steering movements for any distance the car has just driven forward at no more than 36 kph (22 mph). The car is then able to reverse for distances of up to 50 meters at up to 9 kph by steering it along exactly the same line it took when moving forward.
Other features remain similar to the pre-facelift model including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a four-zone AC, front and rear air suspension, cruise control, LED headlamps with Laser light, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, electrically adjustable rear seats, Harman Kardon sound system, rear entertainment system with two 10.2-inch screens, front and rear parking sensors, parking assist with steering control, a 360-degree camera and 7 airbags.
Under the hood, the 6GT continues forward with three engine options: 620d, 630d and 630i. Here is a a comparison:
