The Tata Nexon and the Mahindra Scorpio Classic are both SUVs. The Nexon is 3995mm long, 1804mm wide and 1620mm tall. The Nexon’s wheelbase is 2498mm long. The Scorpio Classic measures 4456mm long, 1820mm wide and 1995mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2680mm. In terms of dimensions, the Tata Nexon is significantly smaller than the Mahindra Scorpio Classic. So, the Scorpio Classic will offer a stronger road presence than the Nexon.
The Nexon has a ground clearance of 208mm while the Scorpio Classic has a ground clearance of 209mm. The boot space of the Nexon is 382 litres whereas the boot space of the Scorpio Classic has not been officially revealed by Mahindra.

The Tata Nexon only gets a 1.2L turbo petrol which is available with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.2L turbo petrol is also available with a 6-speed AMT automatic transmission and a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine of the Nexon makes 120PS of power at 5500rpm and 170Nm of torque between 1750 and 4000rpm.

The Tata Nexon only gets a 1.5L turbo diesel engine, which is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic TC transmission. The Nexon’s turbo diesel engine makes 115PS of power at 3750rpm and 260Nm of torque between 1500 and 2750rpm.
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is only available with a 2.2L turbo diesel engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 130PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1600 and 2800rpm.
