Hyundai India launched the Alcazar facelift at a starting price of Rs. 15.0 lakh (ex-showroom) on September 9, 2024. The 3-row Hyundai SUV is available with 2 engine and 3 transmission options. In this article, we compare the fuel efficiency, or mileage, of Hyundai Alcazar with that of other 3-row SUVs such as the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari and the MG Hector Plus.

Hyundai India revealed the claimed fuel efficiency figures of the Alcazar’s 4 powertrain options at the launch event. Apart from the Alcazar, only Mahindra XUV700 and MG Hector Plus are available with a petrol engine and a choice of manual and automatic transmissions.

The Hyundai Alcazar is available with 2 engine options – a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel engine. The 1.5L turbo petrol is available with 2 transmission options – a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). The 1.5L diesel engine too is available with 2 transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter (TC) automatic.
