In Chevrolet vehicles, the VIN characters begin mostly with MA6. In Chevrolet cars produced until February 2011, the 9th character represents the month of manufacturing while the 10th character represents the year of manufacture. In cars manufactured post February 2011, the 7th character represents the month of manufacture while the 0th character represents the year of manufacture.

If your Chevrolet car was manufactured before February 2011 with the following VIN - MA6MFBC1BBB096358 - then the 10th character, which in this case is B, represents the month of manufacturing. The 11th character, which is B in this case, represents the year of manufacturing. Hence, the Chevrolet vehicle with the VIN number MA6MFBC1BBB096358 was manufactured in February 2011.

If your Chevrolet car was manufactured after February 2011 with the following VIN - MA6MFBC1ACB096358 - then the 10th character, which in this case is A, represents the month of manufacturing. The 10th character, which is C in this case, represents the year of manufacturing. Hence, the Chevrolet vehicle with the VIN number was manufactured in January 2012.
