The MG Hector petrol has the following shortcomings or problems:

What Is The Price Of 2023 MG Hector Facelift Petrol Variants?
The 2023 MG Hector facelift is available in a total of 7 variants with prices ranging from Rs. 14.73 lakh to Rs. 21.73 lakh. All of the 7 variants except the top Savvy Pro are available with a manual transmission. The automatic transmission is only available in the Smart EX and the top 3 variants. The Smart Pro and Sharp Pro variants also get a similar EX variant, which doesn’t get some electronic safety features. Since they are only Rs. 10,000 cheaper than the comparable non-EX variants, we’re not including them in this article and we strongly suggest skipping them altogether.

Which Variant Of The MG Hector Petrol Should You Buy?
For the Hector petrol-manual buyers, we’ll recommend stretching your budget to accommodate at least the Smart EX variant. It offers a fantastic value for money along with a balanced feature set. From there, the Smart Pro EX and Sharp Pro EX are not recommended as they don’t get electronic safety features while saving you only Rs. 10,000.
The upgrade to the Smart Pro and Sharp Pro is worth the extra money if you find any of the features desirable. However, neither of these offer exceptional value for money or high-value features to warrant an upgrade or earn our top recommendation.

What Are The Engine Specifications Of The MG Hector Petrol?
The MG Hector petrol retains its 1.5L turbo petrol engine, which makes 143PS of power and 250Nm of torque. The performance figures are substantially lower than the XUV700’s. We should expect the Hector’s 13.3kmpl mileage figure to be better than that of the XUV700 petrol since Mahindra have not declared the official mileage figures of the XUV700. In our real-world tests, the Hector petrol-automatic delivered almost 9% better mileage than the XUV700 petrol-automatic.
