Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine Facelift Launched At Rs. 45.80 Lakh | V3Cars

Mercedes-Benz India have launched the updated A-Class Limousine at Rs. 45.80 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model brings a few cosmetic changes along with a new set of features. Read on to know what all has changed in the new A-Class Limousine.

Since it is a mid-life update, the changes on the exterior of the A-Class Limousine facelift are minimal. At the front, it now offers an updated set of LED headlights that incorporate a slimmer LED DRL pattern. The headlights flank a new AMG-inspired front grille with tri-star indents, bringing the A-Class closer to the bigger Mercedes-Benz sedans. Around the side, the new A-Class comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and at the rear, it offers an updated set of LED tail lights.

On the inside, the new A-Class Limousine comes with a few cosmetic updates. To start with, it now offers faux carbon fibre inserts on the dashboard and door cards, which lends the cabin a sporty appeal. It now also gets Mercedes’ new 3-spoke steering wheel with capacitive controls. Like before, the A-Class continues to offer connected 10.25-inch screens. However, the updated infotainment system now runs on the latest Mercedes Benz user interface and also offers wireless connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Furthermore, the updated virtual voice assistant can now perform basic functions without the ‘Hey Mercedes’ command.

Along with the updated screens, the new A-Class Limousine also offers other functional enhancements. To start with, the USB charging capacity has now been increased by 20%, which should result in faster charging. It now offers an additional knee airbag, taking the total count to 7 airbags. Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz have also added 2 new convenience features — passive keyless entry and hands-free tailgate. Both features use sensors to detect your presence and unlock the doors and open the tailgate, respectively. Lastly, users now get the option to digitally handover the key of the vehicle to their family members and friends.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine Facelift — Powertrain Details

With the update, the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine has lost its diesel engine, leaving it with a 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine — named A200. Its 1.3L turbo petrol engine produces 163PS of power at 5500rpm and 270Nm of torque between 2000rpm and 3500rpm. It channels power to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and propels the sedan from a standstill to a 100kmph in 8.3 seconds. Mercedes-Benz India promise to offer an 8-year warranty for the engine and transmission. The carmaker also revealed that the launch of the A-Class diesel (A220d) will take place in Q4 of 2023.
