For instance, if your vehicle’s VIN is MAKYL2HJGJ6D63639, then the 10th character, which in this case is J, represents the year of manufacturing. The 9th character, which is G in this case, represents the month of manufacturing. Hence, the vehicle with the VIN number MAKYL2HJGJ6D63639 was manufactured in July 2018.
